ok so now when i turn on my ac i get this horrible noise ....only with the ac...if i use the vent no noise.....i have had probs with my ac...its full of refridgerent (SP).....compresser does come on . yet i get no AC...but the noise started about 3 days ago ..any ideas??

 

Your compressor might be on its way south? A friend of mine had to get a new compressor (thirdgen) because it started squeeling.

 

If you hear this terrible noise with a/c on or windshield defroster on, I would bet compressor failing, I replaced mine last summer due to noisey then finally locked up.

 

ok..i was thinking it might be the compresser.....i will get it checked...
