Re: Now what?

What scan tool are you using? Not all readers will pick up ABS codes; that option is usually only available on the more expensive readers. If your reader doesn't pick up ABS codes, might want to take it to AutoZone and ask them to read the codes--and specify you want to check ABS. Sometimes they have the right reader, sometimes not. I know the Autel readers are good, likewise the Actron9690. I'm sure there are others.

Very often, ABS issues result from a faulty WSS (wheel speed sensor) or a loose wire. Beyond that, you might be looking at an ABS control module.

Re: Now what?

ABS codes start w/ “C”. Pxxxx are engine codes. You have one for the crank position sensor and two for the fan control circuits.

http://shbox.com/1/Dtcs.htm

The ABS codes changed from DTC with 2 or 3 digits, to C with 4 digits sometime between 96 (DTC 2 and 3 digit) and 98 (P with 4 digits). Not sure if an OBD-2 reader can read the earlier codes.

Re: Now what?

Ok so Ive read up a little on p0336, it says crank sensor could be it, it says opti could be it, but I dont want to buy another one if its something else, and Im not getting and codes on the opti, any way to narrow it down? Fans aren't coming on at all so I assume check the voltage (what color wire and what value should they be)? With engine running ( I assume)? I see they sell the motors for fans so that should be an easy swap. Do I need specific ones(these cars seem picky)? As far as abs inop and tcs off..can pull any codes for them with autel scanner or blue driver. Once I fix the engine fan and crank problem and able to drive car Ill figure them out. ------- Also I hear a hissing sound from middle back of engine, smell gas, but cant find any leaks...egr?

Re: Now what?

Huge update. So I found bad vacuum leak in back...elbow on egr valve solenoid. Tried 12v jumping fan motors, got nothing. Put new fan motors in.. also had small coolant leak under battery which i shboxed it with dremel and hose clamp. Got a good ground on passanger fan connector wire, but nothing on driver side. No + on either. Going to trace back to relay then from relay to pcm for shortages. As far as p0336, So far Ive checked the crank wire connector and wires are good, sensor new (getting the reading so assuming its good). Felt along fuel injectors with finger, all have a pulse feeling-except # 1 and #2. Going to stethoscope it today for a better judgement. Im thinking if they are dirty or clogged, that might be the reason Im getting my 0336 code because of the miss? Signals to and from opti are good. Icm and coil and wires are gtg. Going to check fuel pressure today too.
