now i.got code p0336
Ok I scanned the car once n I got code p0335. I.changed the crank position sensor. Now I got code p0335 and p0336. I checkdd the wires and they all seem to be in good condition. Could it be I just got a damaged sensor?? Imm gona get another one on Monday.. Any suggestions guys..

Re: now i.got code p0336
I literally just solved this problem on my car that was causing the p0336 DTC to show up. I started off doing the same, checking the wiring that ran from the ecu to the cpk sensor making sure that no high voltage cables (e.g spark plug wires) were in close range, changing out the sensor, changing out the opti spark with a brand new one. After all this I still had the code popping up.
What it came down to was the timing chain having way too much slack causing the camshaft sprocket to advance or retard during accel or decel causing the code to show up. The opti spark has a cam sensor inside of it which provides a signal that needs to match up with the cpk sensors reading from the reluctor wheel which is located on the front of the crank sprocket behind the timing cover.
Before you dive in too deep, check out the reluctor wheel to see if it is loose or has play or damaged. if it is loose you would need to tighen the hub bolt, but make sure the reluctor wheel is set in the crank key before tightening it. You can inspect it by cranking the engine and looking at the teeth of it through the hole that the cpk sensor goes.
But hey, it could just be a bad cpk sensor which would be an easy fix.
Hope this helpful.
