before i spend alot of money to get my car towed,
i went out to my zbanger (after a rain storm) and she wont turn over, the alternator is cranking but the engine wont start. Any ideas on a quick fix for this or what could possibly be going wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

I think your optispark might be dead after driving in that storm.

 

Compression, Spark and Fuel. Need to have these 3 to fire up. Assuming the starter motor is turning the engine over. Leave compression for last. check spark at the coil then if ok check at a couple plugs. If ok then check fuel pressure. Has to be at least 30 to fire but 42 to 47 is normal. Squirt fuel directly in open throttle body and try to crank it over. if it fires and shuts off, fuel pump is not working. check the relay first. If these are ok check compression.
