It is very hard to understand.
Maybe this will help:
First, let us know if that is what you meant to say.
Clarify - does it run, or doesn't it? You obviously want to check the oil and the coolant before you run it. Are you (or someone else) going to start it and drive it home, or will it be trailered? That will determine the sequence of checking it out.
If it doesn't run, scan it for codes and check the fuel pressure. Difficult to scan a 95, because it has a 16-pin OBD-2 style ALDL connector, but an OBD-1 PCM. If you have an OBD-1 scanner, you need a 12-pin -> 16-pin adapter, or you need to jumper the pins as shown by Shoebox:

Or, download the free Scan9495 scanning software, and pick up a cable:

Let us know the results of the scan and the fuel pressure test.
The trans popping out of reverse could be due to a problem with the reverse lockout solenoid, or the reverse synchro assembly. Here's an online link to the T56 service manual:

Hi - newbie here. I had 2000 Firebird, blew head gasket. Now it's gone. It was my baby.
I'm browsing, and I find a Camaro with t-tops that has been sitting for a year. (The owner??) says reverse gear has an issue. You have to hold gear shift (or it pops out???). He said when he parked it a year ago it ran, but it did get little hot, nothing major. (He ???) drove it 1/4 mile and it didn't stall. It has been parked ever since.
Any suggestion on things i should do to get running? I wont have it until Friday. Just wondering any steps i should take with a car that's been sitting so long to make it run. I'm very mechanical, and can do anything but major motor work. Any tips? I'm getting car regardless. It's a free 95 Camaro 350. Any help?
Thanks guys.

Re: not sure gettin car fri 95 z28 free
I'm not sure I understand your title. Are you saying he's giving you the car for free? If it has issues, then maybe you should find something running since it sounds as if you ditched your 2000 over a head gasket. I'd tend to think any car someone gives you for free is going to need work too.
