Not running perfect any more

To start with my car was running fine. Two weeks ago I installed pasesetter long tubes, new bosch plugs, fired it up skipping, ran rough. I searched this sight, new o2s and extenions, plugwires and one more new plug. Runs and drives good, but when I kick it gets to about 5000 rpm then busts out skips. if you rev it slow it will go to rev limit smoothly. when doing my exhaust I relocated the fuel lines and kinked the main fuel line, replaced it and the filter. I dont have a scanner, when I tried to jumper wire on the thing under the dash to get codes the only thing happened was the fans came on. It doesnt crank as good , hot or cold. new ps lt., new bosch plattunm .050 ,fuel filter,plug wires, nothing touching headers, msd coil, x pipe,3 " pipes over the axle super turbo mufflers, pulls 20+vacume I pulled the fuel rail and injectors to see if I broke any trash loose,clean. egr? fuel pump? Plugs?? Im installing a nos+ throttle body soon. I have autolight 104s to go in at .35... What is causing this problem??? thank you.

i had a problem with my car running bad also

the info i found out is that some of the coating on the inside of the pacesetters burns off and coats the o2's thus ruining them

i replaced mine and it fixed the problem, sorry to hear you just replaced yours before this

its prolly not your o2 sensors because if i remember rite.... the o2's dont cause a problem under full throttle.. im pretty sure of this ne ways.

you did away with all emisions im guessing and blocked off your egr?

and if so did you have the car tuned and all the emissions and junk tune'd out (mine didnt give me a problem before the tune but def helped)

do you have a lt4 knock module installed?



I didnt know that dangalla about the headers it makes since tho lol im lucky enuff that when i did my pacesetters a few weeks back we fired it up to see what it would sound like open headers to see what it would sound like before we installed the o2's in the headers and hooked up the exaust.

that ceramic coating is pretty rough on the ol' lungs as well that shats gotta be bad for ya

i guess you get a free ceramic coating job on your o2's with purchase.. too bad that isnt a good thing lol

I started it up with old o2 sensors, the egr and air pumps are still hooked up. no lt4 knock module yet.

then that is where i would start.
if your o2's are bad it should throw a code

i would put a lt4 knock module on i mean if it doesn'f fix it your not out anything really as its a good thing to do ne ways and can go from there but its a posibility it could be it

i got mine from Conquest Auto that seemed to be the cheapest place i could find one at online and the dealerships round here were wanting way to much conquest is shipping them for free now also i think someone else here may know a cheaper place tho

Sorry for the confusion I started it up on old o2s then changed to new o2s a week later it runs better but now wont rev past 5000 under wot breaking up more than just skipping. it will rev to rev limit if not at full throttle.


it was the plugs
