Not Bad...stock Lt1!

i took my 1996 camaro "SS" to my friends shop (anti-venom in tampa, FL-AWESOME PLACE) he was having a dyno day, he manily deals with corvettes and ls1's, but i wanted to strap the old LT1 on the dyno to see what she would pull, and suprising enough this is what turned out.

BTW: the car is a BONE stock m6, w/ removed filter/descreened MAF.

DYNORUN.002 Max POWER= 285.2
Max TORQUE=311.6

and yes it's all SAE.

im trying to post this dyno graph, but i cant figure it out

Humm I think your a little off 96-97 SS's and WS6's came with an advertised 305hp / and like 335tq

Thats not bad I watched a stock 96 firehawk put 277/310 to the ground.

I need to get mine dynoed, I'd be interested in seeing how it does with as low of miles that it has...and also to see whether or not the hypercrap is worth anything. I'm gonna get a real tune once I get a cam, but it'd be fun to see if there is even 5 HP in the hypertech tune or not.

Very Nice.. The LT1 was slightly under rated..Ive always known that.

Then again MT ran 13.6 @ 102mph or something like that with a stock 96 SS. Supposively they were beast.

If it is slightly under rated, what would a 97 Formula be at?
