Is it normal to see sparks under hood when dark?

Is it normal to see sparks under hood when dark?

just curious because i did this tonight for the hell of it and noticed light sparks on both sides of my engine which would explains why it was running rough and the throttle pop i think?

yeah thats not good.Sounds like your plug wires are arching.Time for some new spark plug wires.This will deff make your car run rough.

damn that sucks these wires are pretty new though about 6 months MSD 8.5 Super Conductor wire, i mean im sure i pushed it in all the way what else can cause this?

Sparks will be the plug wires. It has nothing to do with how far you push them on. the arc is going from the wire itself to a ground. generally meaning a burnt through wire or the like.

You might not need wires.
You might have a cracked spark plug insulator or something. Find out exactly where the spark is coming from before you get anything.

This happens on my MSD wires also. Its not a spark but more like a glow. Ive touched them and they do not shock me. at all. My car also runs fine.

usually when I see a spark or glow from an electrical wire, I try to avoid touching it
