Question normal operating temperature

my car runs around 220-230 dgrees. i have replaced the thermostat, radiator, water pump, and all hoses. what temp r your cars running at? i have done everything i can think of, any info would be greatly appreciated, thanx

Mines about 170... but I installed a 160 thermo.. changeds the fan settings and added RED LINE Water Wetter.. good stuff! But before all of thaT DRIVING ABOUT 190.. STOPED IN TRAFFIC ABOUT 220.

with my stock thermo, it goes to about 210 or so while not moving, fans will kick on till about i 180, the it shuts off heats up to about 210 and does it all over again. when driving around about 180 or so

Tweak, don't worry, I think thats normal. That's how hot mine runs. It runs hotter in traffic, and cooler on the freeway. When it reachs to about 230, the fans kick in, and it drops to around 190-210. Then it goes up, does the same thing and comes back down. In traffic though of course

i have a 160 dgree thermo, plus i have a fan switch that i always have on. Im runnin at 220-230 at 65+on the freeway, dont know what to do

Are you sure the air dam is still in place? If its missing the coolant temp will skyrocket on the freeway.

Have you checked the AC condensor for dirt? Plug that up and no air gets to the radiator.

170 on the highway.

almost 185 190 in heavy downtown traffic with the a/c on.

I have 160 stat, manual fan switches, egr removal.

Have you verified both fans are working and at high and low speeds? You don't need to run the fans when you are above 45-50 mph. They may actually impede air flow at higher speeds. The pcm would normally turn them off at higher speeds.
