I'm just wondering what the normal reading for oil pressure should be. when I first start the cold (cold idle) it says around 60 (the 1st line after middle) and when I'm cruising on the highway it stays at the 40 mark. the temp is always alittle before the middle mark. does tis sound normal?

 

sounds about right. repending on oil weight and rpm as well as engine temp it changes. at warm idle most people see about 20 and think it's low but thats about normal. pressure is always higher at cold start up when te oil is cold. it should also increes with RPM like you say
