Is this normal?
I decided to clean the throttle body off today and do the coolant bypass mod at the same time while I had it off. I put a rag underneath the first coolant hose before I pulled it off. I pulled it off and.... no coolant. So I got around to the second hose, pulled it off, and again no coolant. I checked the coolant level to make sure it was ok and it was. The car was running about 30 minutes before I pulled the hoses and there wasn't even a trace of coolant in the hoses or throttle body. Is it only supposed to go through the lines when it's running? Or could there be a clog somewhere I need to worry about? I highly doubt it should be completely dry like it was with no trace of coolant.

I did mine yesterday also. I seriously doubt if there was a tablespoon TOTAL of coolant spilled. Im sure my system needs a good flush, but it hasnt been running hot or anything so I dont think Ive got any issues there. The way it looks to me, coolant wont even flow thru the TB until the whole system reaches normal operating temps and the thermostat opens and sends the coolant thru the engine. That coolant hose comes off the very top of the radiator and until the system builds some pressure, there wont be anything going into it. Just my .02, but Im not too worried about it.

Re: Is this normal?
When I did my TB bypass it seemed like coolant steadily leaked from the input side until I capped the line off. I'd say there definitely should be fluid running though there, or at least a hint that it has recently.
