Hi Guys!

I have a 1997Z28 Camaro.

If I give it 3/4 to Full Throttle from a dead stop taking off, I hear this squeenching sound like a Fan belt makes when it slips.


It does this when it shifts gears. No Redlining or any thing it just makes a squeenching or squeaking Noise.


I don't fell the tranny slipping or anything?

Whats your thoughts?

My car does this too, or somethign similar. When it shifts 4k+ rpms, its almost like the tires chirp when it shifts gears, but its not the tires, kind of a squeeling noise. Its an auto car.

 

Ya I forgot to mention my car is an a4 automatic!

 

It's the belt sliping some cars do it so don't . Nothing to lose sleep over;

Go to Autozone and get a Goodyear Gatorback belt. No more noise during shifts. You might want to also make sure your water pump is not weeping onto the belt.
