Tried to search and came up empty. What rotating assembly can I go with on a budget, to handle roughly a 200 shot. Does someone have a good write up for building a short block and are the any good books out there you know of, as far as torque specs? Is it worth it to build the motor myself to save a few $$, or should I leave it to professionals? I have done quite a few heads and cam swaps so I am ready to step up to the short block, if you think its a good idea. Thanks for your help!

Just found a post on power that a stock short block can take. I will rebuild it with a stock crank, stock rods and srp pistons, good rings and turn the block it to a 4 bolt main block. That aside all I need now is pointers on building the short block, ie special tools, and a write up on this subject.

 

Any of these short block will work for the application you described.
