Non-heated to heated O2 sensor conversion?

The answer to this question most likely affects all of you out there with 1993 cars...

Has anyone converted to heated O2 sensors, mainly those of you with long tube headers? My oxygen sensors (non-heated) are located a foot or so from the engine on the exhaust pipes, after my header collectors. From what I've gathered, I need to convert to heated sensors for them to operate properly.

I've seen three and four wire sensors; Not 100% sure which ones to get. I thought about using that of the 1994+ f-car, but they're four wire, two wires being used for the heater circuit, and the other two going to a "high" and a "low" on the ECM.

Three wire sensors appear to be pretty straightforward in wiring, but I would rather first see if the later model Camaro sensor would work.

Any information is appreciated.

I converted my modified 90 454SS truck to a heated O2 sensor. These parts do the trick. You just need to find a switched power lead from your fuse box for one of the three wires. One is the sensor wire and is clearly a different color from the other two.It is a fairly easy mod. Just run your wires carefully and keep them protected.
