Noisey valve train

Guys,
I installed my new motor in my 96 Impala SS last weekend. It is still a 350 but with a forged crank, forged pistons and stock PM rods. My builder talked my into a set of Comp Cams roller rockers. I have a good set of GM aluminum's but was told these were a new rocker that Comp Cams came out with. They are not the pro magnums but look alot like the Crane's and GM rollers. They are red and have Comp Cams and 1.6 stamped on them. I also installed a new set of Comp Cam lifters .
The problem is that my builder setup the longblock and set the rocker lash. He set it at 1/2 turn. I in the past per the GM repair manual have always gone 3/4 turn. I have noticed that I get alot of valve train niose. In the process I had the AFR heads reworked with new valve springs(.650 lift) new valve guides, new seats and 3 angle valve job.
I have checked for exhaust leaks but have no traces of black streaking from a leak anywhere. Is it just noisey rockers or should I readjust the last to 3/4. And does anyone else run these rockers. HELP!
HVY SS
P.S. After the the engine blow up(dropped a valve putting a quarter sized hole in #7 piston and maring the combustion chamber on the same cylinder on the head) but thank god the head was saved. I did check the push rods for being bent(Trick Flow chrommolly) and all are ok.

My car seems to have quite a bit of valvetrain noise and I set my valves at 3/4 turn. I think it may just come with the territory. I see a lot of discussion about the LT4 valvecovers to deaden the noise, I'll probably give those a try.
