At a cold idle in gear my car makes a gurgling/popping/swishing sound,above 700-1000 rpm is runs fine but at idle it does this, when it hits about 180 on the temp gauge it runs flawlessly no coolant or oil leakes and no smoke out of the exhaust so I have no clue what to look at

 

I have a slight gurgling sound upon cold start, but only for the first 5 seconds or so.

 

I too have the gurgling noise at cold idle, sounds like it is coming from the box before the air filter, it disappears after the car warms up, but i would like to know if it is a problem btw i have a 1997 3.8 with a 5-speed that is stock.
