Noise and vibration out of 1st
Noise and vibration out of 1st
I have a 1995 Firebird A4 3.4L with a one piece WS6 Drvieshaft.........
Well i just put in the new rear-end in my car, and i went over everything 5 times to make sure it was right, and tight. When i launched the car out of 1st it makes this grinding noise that i have no idea what it is.. I think it might be the tranny mount, or might even be something rubbing, could be the yoke.. might have messed that up?? Dont really know. Any info or opinions are welcome.
THANKS

I recently had to replace my rear yoke. It only vibrated when leaving 1st, and reverse and at high speed.
Not sure if this is the same issue you are having...but might be worth a look.
Tranny mount could be an issue, as you stated. And, I know that I got awful rattle and vibration from my heat shield. And NOW...from a too-big weld in my Y pipe..its beating agaist oil pan under load or in bumpy conditions.

Do you think that is what is wrong with my car. It vibs out of first and sometimes into 2nd. and sometimes I feel a clunck like the tranny hit the underside of the car.
