noise from #2 piston RR's
noise from #2 piston RR's
OK...I just put a cam in and put in new comp R lifters, new pushrods and comp pro mag 1.6 NSA RR's. When the car starts up from being cold it seems to run fine. As it warms up it devolops a slight "miss" almost or a "poof" out of the exhaust. Yes a "poof" and not a "Pop" lol
But it gets real bad once the car enters closed loop. My BLM's bottom out on the left and go to 160 on the right. Then the car really starts to have a hard "miss" to where I can actually hear a hard noise like a knock or a slap come from the engine. It is a very random noise yet frequent once in closed loop. My IAC is steady at about 90 counts at idle. Here is what confuses me. I have adjusted all of the RR so that they sound like a smooth typewriter except for the ones on #2 cyl. No matter how much I adjust them they seem to make more noise than any of the others. Is this normal? What could cause them to make more noise no matter how much they get adjusted??? Thanks for all of your help I'm really upset with the old beast and haven't got to drive her since November!!!
