no start after h/c swap

I just finished my head and cam swap and fired the car up , it ran good then i shut it off now it wont start. It is getting spark and i checked the schrader valve and there was fuel there. It will just turn over but no start unless i hold the throttle down then it backfires through the exhaust.

Its hard to diagnose with the limited info but what I would check first (if it is the car in your sig) would be that cam is degreed properly and also what opti you used. Then the valvetrain and so on and so forth

the car ran fine for about ten minutes then i shut it off to check for any leaks which there were none . Now it wont start, i can hear the fuel pump with the ignition on and i pulled a plug and ground it and there was spark.

You should buy a cheap fuel pressure gauge and check it. They are around $25 and you will get a lot of use out of it. The FPR is a very good possibility.

I got the car running now ,I put a pressure gauge on it and it had only 20lbs of pressure turned it up to 45 and it fired right up . My next ? is about the tps how do you adjust it.
