NO start

I picked up a 94 Z28 rolling chassis and put my motor and m6 trans in it. when i got everything hooked up i started it up and it ran for a second or two. I cant get it to start up after that. I am thinking it is fuel related. I am getting 0 at the shrader valve with my pressure tester. If i spray either in the throttle body it fires right up. If i jump the fuel pump primer with the wire on the firewall it just sparks and does nothing. I hear the relay on the drivers side kick panel but i dont hear the fuel pump prime up. What would i need to check for a no power to the fuel pump? Thanks in advance

Re: NO start

Sounds like the pump is locked up. Try to do some electrical testing/isolating to make sure power is getting to the pump.

Re: NO start

Something else i noticed is the fuel gage in the car is all the way past full by about a half an inch. It did that when i tried to start it the first time.

Re: NO start

The fuel gauge will read at the top if there is infinite resistance in the circuit = open circuit. Check to make sure the connectors Shoebox posted are tight, with no damaged wires.

Re: NO start

Do you hear the pump run? Either its not running, or the hose if off.

Re: NO start

I am having a similar problem with my 97 LT1. to start it i need a shot of starting fluid in the throttle body, then it will start and run fine all day. But when it sits for more then a few hours it won't start without the starting fluid.
help!
