no start!
Ok i have a 1994 trans am with a six speed. The car has ben sitting for about a year because of some piston to valve clearance issues i had on my last setup.....really tore up the valve train.I have since ben putting mods on my ls1 trans am but got the bug to get the old lt1 running again.Well, after a new shortblock and new ported heads and such i finally got around to installing the engine and trans. Now it wont start.I have pulled the opti and checked for proper alignment and have even switched to a new msd and a new gm.Still nothing. It has spark at the plugs and 44 lbs. of fuel pressure @ the rail.I have double and triple checked everything i can think of and referenced shoebox's site.Nothing still just cranks over.Any ideas would be great as i am at the end of my knowledge of these cars as of right now! Thanks in advance!
update
No i used my laptop to scan it.Anyways thats not the problem.I decided to drop the oil pan and recheck the cam /crank and as my build picture proved it was in perfect time. What i did find out is that i DO NOT have compression on at least seven cylinders.I again readjusted the rockers and still no compression.Even with the rockers off i get nothing. So as of now i think there is something cracked in the motor somewhere.I have started to pull it back out and i will see what i find.I have an all forged 396 kit sitting here so i will just have this one built once i get a block and suitable heads such as trickflow or something.Any ways thankyou for the replies guys!It motivated me enough to want to pull everything again.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
