no spark at coil or resolution signals
i just got my stroker running and it was running very good i test drove it about 50 miles breaking it in and stoped to meet a friend shut it off waiting for my bud about 10 mins. he showed up i started it up so he could check it out then shut it off and went inside for about an hour to play pool. came out to leave and the car started right up and died just as fast. searched this sight for insight and came up with a bad opti. replaced opti and still wont start. i have a haynes manual a complete huge gm manual and used shoebox to use for diag. testing at terminal a and d at the icm are good. and i have steady ground at terminal c . im going by what the plug to icm says shoeboxs and manual show slight differances . but my main concern is how to diag the low and high resolution signals on the computer to opti harness i used a test light and there is good and steady power to the opti but nothing comming out of it using a test light. could this be the wrong method to diag the resolution signal ? i used a test light while the car was being turned over and it did not light up on the red/black or purple/white wire i did go with a cheep autozone cardone opti because i did not have time to wait. i noticed the optical disc was slightly warped but even if this part is junk wouldnt it at least send a signal and run rough ? im stumped after all the opti posts in the past im finally tasting some of it and ready to pull my hair out. is there any other tests i could be overlooking to find out why the coil is not fireing . i took and had the icm tested and it tested good i just dont have fire to the coil which is good. sorry so long just wanted to put as much info out there to get this solved thanks for all your help.
