No spark at Coil??
No spark at Coil??
Just finished a top-end rebuild and now when I go to crank it over it turns but I am not getting any spark to the coil.
I replaced the coil, installed a Electric water Pump and new MSD wires. I have tried the stock coil that worked fine before I started working on the car. Also even tried swaping out the coil wire with the stock one and still no luck.
As far as the ground wires go, they are all connected fine. I am curious if anyone happens to know what the black wire on there goes to as I did have the terminal break off and had to replace it?
Help please

I double checked my opti wires, they were all fine. Didn't think that my opti would be the cause of it as I need spark to the coil before my opti comes into play, unless I am mistaken.
yes ytou are mistaken...when i put my new dynasparlk in i forgot to plug in the top switch, which causes no spark no were...
so i plugged it in and it staretd...but good luck on your problem..

Yea dude check your opti... See the ECM gets it's signal from the opti telling it when to fire the ignition coil.. Then the coil fires and sends spark THRU the opti to the plugs...
So if the opti isn't sending that signal to the ECM then the ECM won't be able to tell the coil when to fire. Hence your car not being able to start

Thanks for the quick responses. The car is now up and running. It is greatly appreciated. Turns out that it was the wire going to the opti. I knew I had it plugged in but totally forgot to check the other end by the Intake manifold.
Once again thanks for the help.
