No oil from pushrods?

Re: No oil from pushrods?
Canton oil pan, but I checked for clearance during assembly. I had to "massage" the crank scraper, but rods were okay.
I did find that the forward rocker arm was contacting the passenger side valve cover. These are the covers that Canton tweaked a little for me to get them to clear the rockers, but it mustn't have been quite enough. Looks like it was the trunnion contacting. Not sure if that was the source of noise yet.
I think I'm going to oil up the pushrods & rockers by hand and run it a little longer with the covers off to see if oil makes it to the top end. And try to up the rpm a little.

Push down on the pushrod against the lifter and see how they feel. If they are stiff and dont give any when u push down on the rod then we know oil is getting to the lifters. If they are spongy then they are not "pumping up" and there is a problem somewhere and oil is not even getting to the lifters.

Re: No oil from pushrods?
Jeff,
Dont expect it to gush out. On mine, I can see it very slowly seeping up through as it runs. The stock rocker/pushrods had a tendency to fling it everywhere.
Promags, it tends to not really make any mess at all, and youll slowly see oil seeping up, with a little bit pooling in the heads.
