Question no muffler, no *****?

Just an observation. But I have the muffler off of my car awaiting welding. And I've noticed a huge power loss. I have the SLP 2OTL. Its really weird. I could understand losing torque, but I've lost top end pull as well and I think I may have uncovered a bad coil. (Kinda hesitated for the first time from 5600 on up)

Has anyone else noticed this? And can anyone explain why?

Thanks....

That's odd most people see gains off of straight pipes which is no muffler. So, something may be wrong. I put an e cuout on and it seemed like it picked my car up.

Well, my car isn't exactly stock I'm fully ported and polished with a hotcam. But I was just surprised. The problem could be that I have my stock manifolds on waiting for Jet-Hot. But I was just like, damn, this sucks....

I have had 2 "performance" exhausts, with both I noticed a drop in top end power compared to the stock muffler.... I feel your pain.

It's very possible the coil is my whole problem. But who knows. I was just wondering if anyone else had this issue.
