Thumbs up No more SES light!

I have a 1995 Z28 and my SES light would sometimes come on and when it did the car would hesitate on take off and lacked power. I took the Camaro to a local tranny shop and they scanned the computer for free. The scan revealed the code for EGR system error. I replaced the egr and the car runs beautifully.
Thanks for your time, Corey

Were you experiencing a slight hesitation off idle,at times, maybe a slightly rough idle ? SES light comes on at times, not all the time ? EGR, hmmmmmmm.... I think I need to get my scanned too.

Your car is OBD 2 mine is OBD 1 so there might be difference in the codes so, if I were you I would run my car up to Autozone and have them test it for free. My car would run fine until the SES light would come on and then the car would hesitate from a stop the car also seemed to lose power and acceleration. The SES light might not come on for three days but, when it did you could tell a difference in the performance.

Hope this helps, Corey
