no low speed coolant fans...
My low speed coolant fans just crapped out. I just got done with a header install and everything was fine and dandy. Then I find out that I burned the wiring that is down by the passenger O2 which caused quite a few codes, like electric EGR connection, TCC error, and Fan #1 Error. After fixing the wiring, I let the car idle up to temp and find out that none of the fans are working. So I check all the fuses replace the blown one and the fans work again in high speed and with my manual switch, but are not triggered by the PCM for low speed operation and I am still getting the fan #1 error. So, I swapped the Fan#1 2 & 3 relays with good ones, no change, still get the error after flushing the PCM. I'm sure this stems from the burnt wiring, but what could be the problem, there are only like 5-7 wires there and I fixed them all and protected them. Any ideas? Thanks
Me too, the only way to get the fans on is to Turn on the A/C, last night sitting in Mc Donalds drive though it was getting about 210, and I have LT's myself and smoked the O2 wire lol on the passenger side, but the fan will not come on , on its own! The A/C cools it down alot but otherwise its hottt!
do you have the ability to scan the computer to see if you are getting the same trouble code as me. I think we both did the exact same thing, lol
BTW: The trouble code is 77: Fan 1 Fault

No, but ill go to autozone and let them scan it, see if gm would had shortend the back the could had made more room up front in the engine bay
then we wouldnt have these problems at what degree is the fan supposed to come on 220? if so isnt that a little to damn hot?
