A guy brought a car to me. he bought his own parts, opti, waterpump, coil, wires, and plugs. It would not start. I changed all the parts. Im not getting any fuel or spark. Ive done this job plenty of times. I know its nothing I did. I even checked over everything. I stuck another ign. moduel in it. And another PCM. It still wouldnt start. What else could it be. He said he went to crank it one day after sitting a while and it wouldnt start. Please help. It could be the opti harness. But It doesnt even look coroded.

 

This has to be something simple. Im not getting any spark from the coil. Can anyone chime in and help. No fuel or spark. Is there a module os something that will control both of these?

 

If the pcm see no signal from the opti, it won't allow fuel.

You might need to test for pulses .
