do nitrous cams still run pretty good on motor? n also what is different about them from regular cams?

 

sure they still run good on motor, they just run better on N2O then an NA cam would

i believe one of the major differences is less overlap so the intake charge doesnt get blown right out the exhaust(?)

 

The nitrous cams are intended to work best when you are on the button all the time,I.E. at the track. When I was looking at doing the same thing you are. the guys at comp. cams told me to cam the car as if it had no nitrous because that is where I do most of my driving. I even think they said I would lose H.P. when not on the bottle vs. a cam made for non nitrous ap.

 

Comp is also the place that will tell you that a custom cam is their XE230/236, the same cam that all the vendors sell and everyone and there momma runs in their LT1's

 

I'm running a .224/.236 in my car right now NA. Course, i'm not running 100% right now I don't think.

Overall, I love the cam, works perfect for me.

 

Run the best cam for your set up on motor.Then get a RPM & timing retard box and retard 2* per every 100HP shot.Don't let it turn on below 3000RPM's and you will be fine.
