Nice to be running on all 8 cylinders again.

After header installation i noticed that one of my wires was arcing pretty bad so i went ahead and got a Taylor plug wire repair kit. Well i noticed today that the headers closest to the driver and passenger weren't getting hot, i have Edelbrocks and they weren't turning any different color, just staying black and clean. Luckily the wire was on the easy side and wasn;t too difficult to run and so i replaced the wire and checked the plug, and when i plugged it in and started the car- no more arc and a HELLUVA lot more power. I didn't even notice that i was runnign on only 6 cylinders, car never threw a code, it sounded the same, idled a little bit rough. When i changed it out and took it for a drive i chirped easily going into 3rd on an A4.. holy ****.

I knew it was bad because i got 150 miles on 15 gallons of gas, AFTER putting headers on, but god damn, i didn't know it was that bad. I felt like an idiot for not noticing it sooner. But i'm glad that its all fixed and taken care of now, and now i know what exactly to look for.

Nice isn't it

I had a pulley eat through one of my wires but I didn't really notice a difference in power because I'm too easy on my car anyway, but it shook pretty badly when you stopped. BTW, the easiest way to check for a no-fire cylinder is to just pull off the injector connectors, one at a time. I had no idea what was wrong with my car till then...

I also found out my car will run on 4 cylinders... just not very well

Yeah I'm really easy on mine too, thats probably why i didn;t notice right away, but i knew something was up when i would be on the freeway and i would throw the pass and it would feel like it did BEFORE i got headers.. i was like what the hell? That's not gonna happen anymore
