next mod??

not to familiar with the chevey scene, and was wandering what you guys think my next few mods should be. the car is a 97 SS. it has bbk ceramic coated shorty headers, and y-pipe and a moroso cold air induction. i am not looking to really spend anymore than 750 bucks right now and am wandering what you guys think i should do as a next mod. the car has a flowmaster cat-back but that thing is fixing to go in the garbage. i do not like the way it sounds.

Re: next mod??

Do a search on here, you'll find your answers. Short version - stall for a4, gears for M6, full catback/cutout either way. Good luck.

Re: next mod??

Id say catback and with your funds you could get one of the best ones, like GMMG or Borla or Corsa. You could also get something like Loudmouth and then have a couple hundred bucks left over.

Re: next mod??

if you dont need tailpipes or dont mind having a dump under the car, put a bullet muffler with a turndown on, its really cheap and sounds great. or a loudmouth would be a good choice, along with the hooker catback. other than that like said above gears for a M6 stall for an A4. or you could always put some lowering springs on it, make it handle and sit better, if its a M6 a different shifter is always sweet, even the aftermarkets Hurst compared to stock Ram Air cars shifters. or a tranny cooler with A4. need more info... what are your ultimate plans for the car?

Re: next mod??

see the car already has hotchkis control arms/panhard bar, aftermarket springs bilstein shocks/struts, and a hurst shifter from the factory. it is an M6 so gears are in the future, but was looking at some other possibilities as far as bolt ons go. the cat-back is not part of the budget and hooker was a thought as well. thanks for the input though guys.

Re: next mod??

yea the ram air cars have hurst shifters but they suck compared to aftermarket hurst or Pro 5.0. if you have around a grand and some time/knowledge you can install a hotcam.
