newbie here

hey everyone i'm new here to the boards and just wanted to share my good news...After driving around in a 95 V6 for almost three years i've finally upgraded to a 96 Z28 SS..These are really great cars and i'm real impressed with the power..I just have a couple of questions: 1) how much horsepower does this car have? (it is completely stock) 2) and what is the best exhaust setup you can do to gain decent horsepower but most of all get the meanest sound...price is no issue. Thanks in advance for all the help..

According to this you havef:

1996 LT1 Camaro Z28 SS:
305 HP @ 5200 rpm / 335 Ft.-Lbs. @ 2400 rpm

This is interesting, can someone answer this? I thought my '97 Formula had 285HP, but that FAQ says the '97 Formula has:
1996-97 LT1 Firebird Formula/Trans Am:
285 HP @ 5200 rpm / 325 Ft.-Lbs. @ 2400 rpm
1996-97 LT1 Camaro Z28:
285 HP @ 5200 rpm / 325 Ft.-Lbs. @ 2400 rpm
1996-97 LT1 Firebird Formula/Trans Am WS-6:
305 HP @ 5200 rpm / 335 Ft.-Lbs. @ 2400 rpm
So which "Firebird Formula" is right?

Both of them....

Formula/Trans Am is 285.

Add the WS6 (Ram Air) option, and they will be 305.

Ooooh gotcha thanks. Any idea of the driveline loss, what it is at the rear wheels through a T-56?

Thank you.
