newb question about CAI

I need a replacement filter for my K&N FIPK. I see k&n makes all sorts of sizes of cone filters that would fit the intake tube and my question is, does size matter?!?! With my mods, and possibly a cam coming soon, if the air filter is slightly smaller, would it make any difference in engine performance?

Why don't you just recharge your k&n? Aren't they supposed to last forever? With the k&n's on my last camaro, I just bought the recharge kit. You wash out the filter and then reoil it, good as new

Re: newb question about CAI

With your amount of mods I doubt youll see much if any performance loss. Now if you were to just have a CAI for your only mod i bet it would make a somewhat difference maybe like 1-1/2 horses.
