New Tranny Mount

This weekend I got bored, so I picked up an Energy Suspension tranny mount. It only took about 20 minutes to install (including getting car on ramps and off). All I did was take a jack with a 4X4 piece of wood and jack the tailshaft of the tranny up to get the old mount out. I put the new one in and voila! done! As for performance, I did notice a little more vibration and road noise, as well as the exhaust note picked up a little bit from normal. The only thing that I don't like that at low speeds and mid rpm (i.e. 1-2 shift), there is more vibration, and the wife refers to it as "grinding". But other than that, I am quite pleased.

Your exhaust note changed, when you replaced the tranny mount? This is a little weird

That mount is also known for the extra vibrations it causes. No big deal since its stronger than stock ones.

The exhaust note isn't really louder, it actually resonates more than it did. With the resonation, it creates the illusion of being louder.
