New track times for a basicly stock LT1

went to the track today, some of the best racing conditions i've ever been in...

13.51et @ 101.1mph with a 2.0 60ft was my best

i also ran a 13.53et @ 93mph i was doing bracket racing and let off, i still broke out i shouldnt of let off that prolly would of been a 13.4 pass... and my goal for two years has been to get a 13.5 by the end of this year!!!!

I am so happy! i set a goal over 2 years ago and i met it this weekend!!!

I wouldn't call that basically stock, but nice times either way.

Not bad at all for the mods. Makes me hopeful for what my 95 can do at the track this fall.

he said basically stock lt1 not basically stock camaro. all he has is descreened maf and pipes... thats basically stock, if he would have said basically stock camaro he would be lying becuase he has diffent tires, and weight reduction

thats just how i took it.

it's a little misleading just the same. I ran my "basically stock LT1 to 8.90 et last weekend"....but need to mention it's in an econo-rail. Strap a bone stock LT1 to a go cart and it'll run great et's. most guys on here run them in full weight (mostly) street trim f-bodies.

Didn't "basically stock" use to mean stock exhaust and maybe an airfoil? Or a breather? Or DR's?

Not too bad. Gears and/or a converter would help your 60' out, but before that I'd get a used CAI and maybe some other bolt ons for some MPH's.

I was @ NED yesterday, but didnt see anyone from Camaroz28 there...

The closest I would agreee with anyone saying "basicly stock" would be a better air filter. Above that there are bolts are turning and parts coming off and being replaced. I refer to my LT1 as my Camaro and vice versa, more confusion i guess. Just my opinion here.

Now and LT1 engine with any set of headers should be considered lightly modded since you are talking about the next biggest LT1 bang for the buck next to N2O.

Good for you! Throw a 3200 converter in there and have some fun.
