New Tires

When it comes to tires I am a complete newbie. Hell, I'm still learning a great deal about cars in general.

Now is the time in which I must purchase new tires. My rear tires are nearly bald and the front ones are getting pretty close.

I was looking at the following tires:

245/50ZR16 Pirelli P7000 SUPERSPORT

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

(if you're curious).

Any suggestions/comments for me?

Thanks in advance.

i have not used those tires but they probally are not too bad. i just bought a set of toyo T1-S's. the yoko es 100's and the kuhmo 712 are both great tires for the price. they probally are not as good as a tire that costs $175, but for the price, you can't beat them. good luck with you decision. i would just compare tires within your price range. you can compare treadwear, traction and temp ratings.

I had Firestone Firehawk SZ50's on a non-f-body, and they were excellent, never seen such good wet traction. I think tirerack has them for 135 maybe? I know it's more expensive, but one thing you don't want to cheap on is tires.
