You need traction! A 2.2 60ft is not too good, that's what's killing you. Some nittos would be a good start BUT I think the SPORTLINES that are on your car are the source of all your woes... to be honest I'm suprised you managed a 2.2 with those. Having the car lowered with real stiff springs is just plain not good for weight transfer. The LEAST you could do is buy some lca relocation brackets and new lca's. That might help correct some of the problems those springs are causing. Suspension is just as important if not more important that HP when it comes to going fast.

Also, your mph is a little low, esp considering your 60ft. Programming is certainly something you should have done ASAP, that's possibly why your traps are so slow. Otherwise, check all your common maintenence items (plugs, wires, fuel filter).. you know the drill.

When are you going to the track next?

Not sure on the next track visit but i will let you guys know how i do. The clutch just slips when it gets hot but I don't think it should fail when it does b/c the clutch I put in my stang took 3 time the abuse and gripped perfectly every time. I will do a program when I can get the extra $ and then hit the track. I am planning on doing the the lca's and relocation brackets in the future. I did get down to a 2.157 60' on the 3rd run then the clutch slipped in all gears Still ran a 14.0 though. Going to do a 4.10 to get out of the whole a lot better. Matt

I just put 4.11's in my car and i must say. around town driveability is worlds apart from the 3.70's i was runing.. so i'm thinking i might have dropped 1 tenth off the 60ft or at least hoping anyway.. Suspension is the most tedious and expensive mod's you can do to your car... and they help tremendously..

Gears aren't going to help your time.. they'll hurt it. UNLESS you have the suspension that will enable you to get traction with those steep gears.

The relocation brackets should be the FIRST thing on your list. That is probably what you need most since you have that car slammed. Can you say wheel hop

So I guess suspension will be next. How Much do the drag springs lower the carn if they lower it at all, because I love the look of it slammed!
