New times, not happy.....

I went to the track today, got a lot of runs in while I was there. The track prep at atco sucked tonight, it was like a skating rink for the first few hours. After a few slick cars went through a few times, it got a little better.

My best ET:

60' : 2.169
1/8: 8.819
MPH: 81.85
1/4: 13.645
MPH: 102.03

Best Trap:

60' : 2.140
1/8: 8.830
MPH: 81.93
1/4: 13.649
MPH: 102.42

Best before headers:

60' : 2.077
1/8: 8.882
MPH: 80.56
1/4: 13.711
MPH: 101.05

Can anyone tell me if theres a faster time in the car with that trap speed because it felt like it pulled a lot harder than before, but it only shaved a tenth off the time.

Thanks

Paul

Keep trying. The track conditions were not as good this time around. You may have to play around with your tire pressure a little or better yet...get some drag radials. If you could have matched your 2.07 sixty foot, then you would have ran a 13.5x. Your mph indicates that you are making more hp than before. You just need to get the hp to the ground. Sticky tires and a dyno tune would help even more.

Keep practicing. At least you're consistent as hell.

If you can make up that other tenth in your 60 ft, then you'll pick up another two tenths in the 1/4. Better traction is your friend.

couldn't tell you whats wrong, but when I first did my long tubes I was pulling 13.9's @ 101ish with a 2.4 60ft. haven't gone back since I replaced my opti and hotcam install. I was damn bummed out at my times.

Your car was almost the same as mine before the headers, I ran a 13.8 @ 101. With the longtubes, cai and duals I've gone a best of 13.2 @ 106 w/ 2.1 60'. Did that the other night at the track on 315/35/17 drag radials. Track prep sucked. No hook at all. Your car has an easy 2 or 3 mph more I'd say, I could run one pass, and get a 13.5 @ 104, another and it would be a 14.2 @ 102. Is your car a stick? If so, there is another mod needed. Good driver mod, I don't have that one all the time yet. Workin on it though. Just practice practice practice. Good luck and have fun! I might go back to the track today, I think with a 1.8 60' I might hit a 12!

False knock with the headers maybe. Check that. My car had some knock, and it was dropping it 40 hp to the wheels with just bolt ons.

Thanks guys, I guess Ill have to invest in some Nittos and a KM. I know Im getting some knock, I have a datamaster files for before and after the header install, so I will definitely be buying the LT4 KM really soon. Where can I pick one of them up for the cheapest price?

Thanks,

Paul
