Re: New times with LE3 383

It's nice to see some 383's finally start trapping where they should be, 120+, not 115-117.

Seems like you have fairly high compression? Is it over 12:1 SCR?

A 1.95 60 ft while running 11.9 at 122 MPH looks VERY promising. Get the 60 ft in the 1.55-1.60 range and you should be in the 11.3-11.5 range. QUOTE]

I've heard every .1 sec u take off ur 60 ft is .2 off ur 1/4 so wouldnt it be closer to 11.15-11.2?

holy ****.. 457rwhp N/A! That's sick, how big is that cam.. has to be a solid lifter setup? Are those still LT1 heads (my guess is not)? What intake are you running a ported LT4? or single plane?

Re: New times with LE3 383

well i guess i shouldn't say untuned, it does have a mail order tune but it needs quite a bit of work, They are still stock casting heads and the cam is an LE4 which is the same as an LE3 but for the stroker(still hydraulic). The intake is a LT1 intake that was ported by Lloyd with a58mm TB. At first i thought the dyno numbers were off (on the high side) but with my mph and weight they seem to be pretty close. And the CR is just over 12:1

You have less flowing heads, and the power they do make is absorbed more in your A4 than his M6.

Thats why dynos are for tuning and the tracks are for backing it up...

Anyway, judging by the 122 trap I would expect 11.teens with a good 60'...

Damn, it's almost unheard of to make much over 420-430rwhp with the stock casting, stock intake AND a hydraulic cam and you made close to 460rwhp untuned . Props to you thats bad @ss. Now you just gotta put 110 octane in the tank and hit it with a 250 shot and you'll be breaking 650 rwhp no problem .
