New times for LE 383.
Gentlemen,
I had a good night of racing last night at Carolina Dragway and I thought I would share my times.
1st run...1.68, 7.38 @ 95.21 1/8, 11.51 @ 118.53 1/4
2nd run...1.64, 7.35 @ 94.96 1/8, 11.49 @ 118.03 1/4
3rd run...1.61, 7.30 @ 95.12 1/8, 11.44 @ 117.98 1/4
You'll notice I slowed down even though I got quicker. Scanmaster showed 4* KR on last 2 runs. False K that is.
I've yet to nail it off the line for fear of breaking my stock 7.5, cause let me tell you, these 255/50/16 M/T DR's hook like a $20 prostitute.

Awesome times! Way to keep LT1 the alive...I've been telling people about those 255 M/Ts for a year now...They are ridiculous! I hook 1.55s with mine in sleeper trim. They are awesome! Made a 1/4 mile dyno run on a new Mustang dyno yesterday and went 11.23 at 117 with a 1.37 60' They dead hooked on the dyno! Again congrats, go buy a rear and watch those times fall...

I just ordered a Strange 12 bolt today from Tbyrnes so that gives me the green light to make my system functional. All that remains is to wire up the Jacobs Nitrousmastermind and hang on!
My goal is 10.90's N/A with an electric waterpump and 200lbs weight reduction.
I think it's time to take out the amp and sub.

Thanks Dean, unfortunately you don't see a whole lot of N/A LT1s in the deep 11s...Your car is very impressive...Like said above you have 2-3 tenths hidden in your ET with a little reduction in your 60'...I would expect 11.20s at 118-119 with 1.55 60's which are easily attainable with those little DRs..You need a 12 bolt in your Easter basket...
Last year I went the times in my sig and we just added an EWP and picked up 9-10 rwhp across the board on a Mustang dyno...next week we are installing stepped Kooks 1 3/4-1 7/8" LTs and will dyno again to see how much hp the shorties left on the table...Hopefully I'll get 11.20s outta this thing...then it will be interesting..soooo close to the 10s...might hafta go a wee bigger on the cam....would love 10.99s looking stock...
Anyway, you have a great ride there...its nice to see fast LT1s...

Re: New times for LE 383.
your full weight car and that 60 ft shows what kinda power you are making. Good 60 ft for a "street car" but most people running a mid 11 are getting a much btter 60 ft than that.
Get the KR fixed and you might have a 11.39 at 119 MPH with that same 1.65 60 ft. Knock off 1 or two tenthds from the 60 ft and who knows what the thing will run.
Good job.

Yeah dam fast combo.... You don't want to know what some impala guy just ran with a LE2 on a 353 in good wind though.
That KR has to go be hurting you. Gotta agree with Lloyd on all of that, You might be in the 11.25-11.30 range!

Re: New times for LE 383.
Thanks ya'll.
Only the Lord and Lloyd know the drama I've been through to get to this point with my car. Much $$$, frustration, and skint knuckles later I'm starting to see the potential of Lloyds LT4 heads being realized. These heads flow LS1 type #'s and they really extend the rpm range of the small cam...I shift at 6500.

Re: New times for LE 383.
Very strong running car. My times look almost identical.
I am in the same boat as well , still have the stock rear. I'll upgrade soon myself and then I can really lean on it off the line.
