Wink New times and almost 10s on the bottle.

Finally had some decent weather today. 60 degrees and a DA of about 700. Anyways, finally broke into the 11s on motor. Made two motor runs and two nitrous runs. An 11.93 @ 114.28 and 11.94 @ 114.57. About 2 tenths better than my previous best but the same mph. My first nitrous run (125 shot) was 11.08 @ 121.91mph. The second was a 11.14 @ 121.72.
This is spraying from 4k to 6k. With a little more fine tuning and lowering where the nitrous comes in at, I think it will crack a very high 10. Not to shabby for a 222/226 cam and a set of LE heads.

It's amazing how well a dialed in combo can work. Well done man, hope you see 10's soon.

Thanks, but sooner or later I'm going to have to upgrade some parts, like your doing. Stock bottom end, trans, and rearend, somethings gotta give.

Yea..exactly. My trans pooped the bed first, replaced with 4L80E. The rear pooped once, had it built again, and has been working good. Although I have 9in parts littered around the room After I get the Cummins dialed in *cough* currently 34psi *cough*, forged small block parts will be anticipating spun bearings and broken rods.

What 60's you cutting?

Usually 1.65s, today a 1.63 and a 1.61 NA. With the nitrous coming on at 4k, a 1.58 and a 1.57. Had a good day with the tree today, .114 .140 .132 and a .134 in that order. On the other hand, my first run I was up against a guy that cut a .002.

Rick,

Congrats on high 11's NA Lower the N2O to ~3000-3500 that or up the jets to 150. Either way 10 are yours for the taking.

Our set-ups are pretty close. If it's in good tune you should hit the track. You might be surprised at what it can run.

Thanks James. Time to put the car away for the winter, but that's the plan come spring time.

SS MPSTR, that means something from one off the guys that knows way more than I do about modding. I try to weed out the good advice from the hear-say advice and put it to good use. This has taken awhile but is starting to pay off nicely.

You should be there for sure with that combo. I just ripped a 13.009 with a 100% stock motor(internally) in the 'bird. I do have 3.73 gears in it now.
