100 shot once I knew I had traction. I was sitting on the (6000RPM) rev limiter in 3rd, didn't put it in OD cause I didn't think it would reach 6k (doesn't spray after 5700 w/the window switch). Frank Cahall told me overdrive will take the spray just fine, so next time I'm just gonna leave it in OD.

All in all, I'm really really happy

Cool, Matt. Glad to hear the trans. is working for you. I'd start the run in 3rd, and shift into o/d when your r's get up near 6000.

If you're hitting the rev limiter at 6K at only 110mph in 3rd your tranny is slipping. With a slipping tranny I didnt even hit 6K when I trapped 111mph when I still had an auto.

thats what im wanderin, mine shifts into o/d right at 110..

 

Well when I still had my auto I looked at the tach when I crossed the traps and it was at 5500 RPM's... and I trapped 111.00mph on that run... And I have a scanmaster in my car, so I know the tach isnt off. And on that run the car bounced off the limiter on the 1-2 shift and shifted 400 rpm's high on the 2-3 shift, so the tranny was definatly slipping. Thats why I put in the 6-spd. And thats with 3.73 gears too...

 

All of you are smoking something, dunno, hah. My a4 car with the stock 3.23 gears trapped 116 still in 3rd gear.
