Question new springs?

hey guys its time for me to get new shocks so ive basically narrowed my choice down to the bilstein hd's or kyb shocks. i still have the stock springs on my car though, is it worthwhile to get new ones? also will there be anything else i need other than just shocks, i'm pretty clueless when it comes to suspension stuff. i'm on a highschool budget so i can't afford tons of new stuff also. thanks for any help.

If you don't want to lower or raise your car, you can always replace your stock springs with another set of stock springs...

I know a lot of people are using V6 springs in replacement of their stock ones...

My stock springs are lower than another guy's stock springs, so it's not just as simple as getting another set of stock springs. I have learned that there were like 6 or so different springs that went into these cars.

I'm sure they differ from a Firebird to a Camaro, and maybe a bit from year to year, but a stock spring for a Camaro should be a relatively easy replacement...your ride height difference can't be that drastic from stock car to stock car...

I'd post in the Autocross/RR section. Sam Strano is a real suspension expert on that board. Your springs and stocks works as a system. It really depends on what you want to do with the car. A set of Eibachs work well with Bilsteins and will only set you back about $220. They really improve the ride height (get rid of the ugly wheel gap) besides giving your car much better handling. The labor to install is "free" since you're doing the same labor to replace the shocks anyway.
