New to Site, a Few Questions

Two weeks ago I bought a 96 Z28. I must say I love this car! I had a V6 (94) and the 160 stock HP just wasn't enough. It's amazing how a car becomes so much cooler with an extra 115 horses. On top of this it also came with aftermarket gears, CAI, and a hypertech programmer (for gear ratio, and tire height changes, otherwise it's a piece of crap).
To anyone with a Moroso CAI, what should I use to clean the filter? Can I use a K&N kit?
Also, has anyone tried Royal Purple's Purple Ice? If so, did you notice a drop in engine temp? When I add it in, can I just pour it in the radiator, or do I have to change the coolant?
Regarding the tranny (A4), can I change the fluid if it hasn't been changed in a while, or will it cause problems? I've heard that certain trannies need to have their fluid changed at the recommended time or you're better off not doing it? Is the 4L60E like this? i ask because I want to put B&M TrickShift fluid in it.
I know these are a lot of questions and I appreciate all you guys taking time to help. I just like to clear up my questions before I do anything to my car.
Oh yeah, the guy I bought the car from said it ran a 13.55 in the 1/4, is this believable for an auto with the mods in my sig?

I don't know the answer to all of your questions but:

13.55 sounds a little too good for those mods, but not by much...especially with an A4.

K&N cleaner should be fine... the filter is same I bet.

Changing fluid should be added to your things to do list. The harm is not changing it.

Can I use a K&N kit?
I'll get the ball rolling and tackle this first one. Yes.

EDIT: Looks like someone beat me to the rolling of the *****.

13.55 seems a bit fast...I could see some 13.80s or 13.70s...not saying its impossible just not likely...

CHANGE the fluid in the tranny...it works miracles if its never been done...I don't know that I'd go to the B&M fluid I've heard bad things about it...and make sure they FLUSH it and not just change it...flushing it guarantees you get 100 percent new fluid not just 33 percent new fluid. Royal purple is supposed to be the best oil you can get...I personally have no experience with it though...K&N kit is fine for cleaning your filter.
