Talking new purchase 97 SS

I'm back in the LT1 game. My X got the 95 TA last year. Although I kept both 68's! Well anyway. I am getting a 97 SS white/orange,houndstooth,no t-top, 6spd, 34k miles on monday! Not going to mod this one, except for skip shift eliminator.

I will take it to the track to see how terrible the potenza tires are. What kind of 1/4 times do the 6 speed cars run? The previously mentioned TA with an A4 ran 14.2@96mph.

I've been a lurker for awhile. Great info and people here. Sorry if this sounds like gloating. But I have a serious debilatating affliction with Camaros.

Low 14's is where it will probably run, high 13's if your lucky. I wouldnt recommend sticking around this site if you plan on keeping your SS stock

High 13's would be tough for the local track altitude, especially in the summer. Hmmm...what can I do to go faster?

Aw man dont get me started, oh well its too late.

Bolt on's - Longtube headers, Cold Air Induction, PCM Tune, Catback System, Electric Water Pump, ASP Pulleys, Drag Radials, Free Mods.

Engine - N2O, Forced Induction, Heads and Cam.

Bolt on's yeild mid to low 13's and sometimes 12's. From there on its anything goes.

See my thread a few spots down or PM me. I wasnt going to get one but 10rwhp/rwtq is alot to just pass up on. They are hazardous if not wired in correctly. If they quit and you dont know, your engine is toast.

Really, 10 HP? Wow, I didn't know they gave you a gain? How do you know if they are failing?

my car ran a 14.2 stock A4 basically the same as ur car, except t-tops adn m6

some drag slicks will get u in about 13.8-.9 range , the manuals if known how to be driven will run 1-2 tenths faster
