When doing a '93 do you modify the stock chip or do you provide one of those piggy back chips?

I just wanted to keep the prices down and so I am modifying the stock chip by default. I can do it the other way too, but it will be ~$40 more expensive.

Thumbs up Great site!

Hey Madwolf ,thats a great site and awesome deals your offering .I've been trying to decide what chip to buy for my 93'Z..Would you recomend a chip or program the ecm? Are you burning a chip, or burning new settings into the 93' ecm?I thought about a stage II hypertec chip.. Would i benifit more buy sending my ecm to you? With the new mods i'll be putting on,wouldn't it make more power with your tuning as opposed to a chip for a stock 93Z28 or would the thermomaster bring out just as much power with all the bolt ons as your programming would? Sorry so many questions.I just want know if i should buy the chip or would it benifit me even more to have you program it, seeing as all it will have is all the bolt on stuff.Either way, I'd much rather give you my buisness than another seller. Thanks, Erik

Erik,
as I mentioned above already, I can do both. I can program the stock chip or burn a new chip with a piggyback adapter. Or even socket your memcal (chip holder) so that you can easily swap between different programs. (on different chips)
Let me ask you this. What does the specific chip you're talking about supposedly do? I'd like to know that first so that I can give you an accurate comparison.

I'm getting a converter soon and will probably have to have the high stall problem fixed. You definatly want to learn how to fix this problem to help your business.

Best of luck to you...

Hey Ion,
That Thermomaster chip is a stage II chip and all i really know is that it says you must have an unrestricted exhaust and a 160 thermostat. Other than that, im assuming that it is only going to change horsepower output based on those two mods. What im curious about is I will be putting on all the bolt ons( RR's,etc), but i wont be doing a cam swap as of yet, and im curious if with all the other bolt on stuff, would'nt i be better off having you modify the program based on each mod,as opposed to just buying a chip from Hypertec? Would'nt my car make more power that way, being burned for the mods, instead of just one based on an an urestricted exhaust and a 160 stat for the timing advance? Thanks ,Erik

Erik,
Sounds like a regular Hypertech tune. I guarantee I can do a more specific tune for your car covering more aspects than this tune.
