Regardless of where they are made im still buying one i have bought thier intake manifolds before and didnt seem like a bad piece whether they were a rip off or not from Edelbrock products I had no problems bolting them up as far as casting flaws

Re: New Professional Products Throttlebodies smokin!!!

you know I bought one of the intakes they have for a Mustang and I got to say, I wish I had never wasted my money. The casting was full of flaws and just knowing that some overseas outfit was profiting off something they ripped off an American company didn't sit well with me.

If you didn't know the "typhoon" intake is a direct copy of the edelbrock RPM. supposively
Edelbrock himself got on the speed channel and pointed out the differences between his intake and the Chinese rip off.

*Edit* someone corrected me.. Mr. Edelbrock got on HP TV and pointed out the difference between his product and the Chinese rip off.

I am ashamed I bought something from them. On one hand its a check to some of the outrageous prices some of these parts cost but on the other hand your practically encouraging this outfit to steal from an American company.

now on the other hand if this company came up with a their own design and produced it than I wouldn't have felt so guilty.

It's a shame that people brush off R&D and experience when buying things like this.. all in the name of what's cheaper. It doesn't matter if its $20 or $80.. we want to get everything for the lowest price and it just doesn't happen that way.

I checked it out first hand at SEMA and it looked like nice quality to me. I actually tried to buy the display piece, but he said no and that they would be available soon. I would not hesitate to buy this piece for a second, I studied it for a while and it looked great.

Re: New Professional Products Throttlebodies smokin!!!

Was their 52mm TB the same price as the 58? Either way $230 is pretty cheap, I look forward to hearing how the quality is. Heck when you get right down to it the BBK and others weren't all that great to start with, if these guys copied the Edelbrock/BBK unit lets hope they copied the newest design...

Someone needs to add a poll to this on who would buy/trust this and who wouldn't.

Yes when we started 6 and a half years ago there wasn't doing programming less than $450 and there wasn't anyone that was doing it that would talk to you after the sale.

So when I was a young man and spent $420 on a hotcam kit I thought it was a bit unreasonable to spend that much again just for a chip... I developed my own chip tuning and started to offer it at a price that people could afford.

I don't see how that is a comparison at all to someone who took Edelbrocks designs overseas to produce them and resell them to the US. maybe i'm missing something??

The one from the SEMA show was probably hand picked and carefully prepared considering hundreds of customers and vendors were going to be looking at it. When manufacturers of cars or aftermarket parts send a new product to the magazine editors or a trade show, they try to make sure it is perfect. Companies I have worked for even do that for their trade shows. Special paint jobs, the whole wazoo.

What i meant because of the LOW price doesnt mean bad quality look in my sig i have a tune from you guys.Excellent service LOW price and Bryan did a great job on my tune almost dead nuts on.I myself have bought Proffesional Products parts an intake manifold for my 71 camaro and it was a great deal of course the ports are probably not as large as an edelbrock produst but i have all my stuff ported anyways
