New Problem! Can drive but not shift (very hard)
Ok so here is what happened today. I was driving on the hwy at about 65mph, then I shifted to neutral for a second then I tried to shift back to 6th gear but it wouldn't let me! So I tried every other gear (1,2,3,4,5) but it wouldn't shift into any of them! So I pulled over to the side of the road and tried from a stop putting it in 1st gear. It didn't want to go but I can force it in gear. Now when the car is running and is in gear with the clutch pedal pushed all the way in its like the disc isn't fully disengaging (slowly pulls the car forward) and you can hear/feel the ceramic disc grabbing and slipping. But when the clutch is let out the car drives fine except when I try to shift (won't let me, have to force it).
So what do you guys think is wrong? Is my slave dead? I checked the fluid in the master and its full and there appears to be no leaks anywhere.
My car is a 94 Z28 M6 with a SPEC stage III ceramic. The car drove fine all day before that and I wasn't driving it hard at all. HELP!

P/N 12557509 - complete assembly and it even comes with the fluid...you can't just by the slave. Pull the old one out of the bell housing and make sure it is not loosing fluid. If not, then the problem might be somewhere else. shift fork maybe? how long have you had it in? does the clutch fell diff?

I'm pretty sure its not loosing fluid since the master is full and there is no leaks but I'll pull it out of the bellhousing today. The clutch has been in since late January and has worked flawless up until now. The clutch doesn't feel any different its just that when the clutch pedal is pushed all the way in and your in 1st gear (or any other) with the car running the clutch disc is trying to grab the flywheel making the car creep forward. I was thinking that the clutch fork could be the problem also. Do you have a part # for it? Thanx. Any other input is appreciated!
For me, I know that if I put the clutch all the way in, it actually gets harder to shift, like it's still grabbing.
The full throw of the clutch has maybe 1" of travel. I used to think it was something wrong with the car, but I realised it was something wrong with me

my car has the exact same problem. i was driving the other day and all of a sudden it would not let me go into any gear. i think i will be replacing the slave/master cylinders and see what happens. the fork part # is 12523312. the tranny will need to come off for the fork. i know i am leaking a little oil off the back of my engine. i think it is my rear main seal. i was wondering if maybe that oil was getting to the clutch and making it mess up. if i decide to drop the tranny, i will be replacing the pilot bearing and the throwout bearing because i hear those tend to go bad. keep us informed if you figure anything out because i would like to solve the problem also.
I'm pretty sure its my slave thats bad and I'm going to go check now. Please keep me informed of your situation cals400ex and I will let you know too. Its tuff to sell a car that you can't shift
Ok so I just finished taking off the slave and I bled all the air out of it. The slave seems to be working fine but I'm not exactly sure.
What are signs that the slave/master are bad? I'm starting to think that a spring fell out of my disc and is trapped between the disc and PP. Any help?

Well I just finished pulling the tranny + clutch from the car. What happened was a spring blew out of the disc and was caught between the clutch disc & PP.
Does anyone have SPEC's phone number? Do you guys think SPEC will warrenty this clutch? Its a Stage III ceramic with about 5000 miles on it.
i doubt the clutch will be under warrenty. so one of your springs broke? or did one just come out of place? i added more fluid to the resevoir and my car seems to be a little better. however, i haven't drove it too much yet so i will have to see how things work. i will inform you if i find anything else out. sorry, don't know spec's #.
