New opti seal with new opti?

My dowel ruined my old opti after my cam install so I took it all back apart to get the new opti in, I kept the old seal. After installing everything again I have an oil leak. I dont know if the oil leak was from something I did with the cam install or if it was from the new opti. Now I took my front end apart for the third time and it looks like the oil is coming from the opti. There is a little oil puddle on that lip below the opti seal. Could it also be the WP seal?

How do I remove this seal and who carries them locally? How do I install the new seal?

I've got a similar issue with the water pump seal. Shoebox answered and gave me a few leads. I'm on a dial-up or I would include the thread (takes forever)... anyways, if you do a search on water pump seal you will find the part numbers and a few tips.

Could be the opti seal, but it wouldn't hurt to give an inspection to the water pump seal.

Good luck.

You just pry it out with a screwdriver. My local Chevy dealer had them in stock.
