Unhappy new motor question

I just finished installing my 355 blown motor into my 94 firebird. My question is I also put a 3200 stall tc in, without a tune would it rev up high before it started to move the car , or is it just the tc?
Thanks
Ryan

The Torque converter will cause the rps to rev a little higher befor the car starts to move compared to stock. even though you have a 3200 stall converter, it should not get even close to 3200 to get the car moving. 3200 is supposed to be the maximum that the converter will flash to when the car is bieng held back and under full load (trans break or break torquing).

How high does it rev before the car moves?

You probably need a tune also. What is your combo?

Sounds about right for a 3200 stall. Thats the nature of the beast. Make sure to get it tuned before beating on it.

Do you have larger injectors? Is it tuned at all?

I probably wouldn't be driving it around until you get it tuned for the bigger injectors.

I would only start it if you HAVE to. Yo will foul the plugs pretty quickly. If it is too rich you can also wash out your rings and cylinder walls, which is bad any time, but especially bad on an engine that is not broken in yet.

GET A TUNE!

Yes.
Got it in today, did a powerbrake, broke the tires loose at around 2000rpm. Musta been in my head, although it does feel a little loose. Filter and fluid change shouldn't hurt.
